What does your installation price include?

A. We specialize in package pricing in which are one low price includes all of the following; removal and disposal of existing carpeting, the new flooring, an upgraded underlayment or carpet pad, labor, required transition moldings, furniture moving, and primed white quarter round (on wood installations).

Does it cost anything to get a flooring estimate?

A. Absolutely Not! We encourage estimates. We want to make sure the customer has the exact measurements.

Do you offer a warranty with your flooring installation?

A. Yes, all installed projects come with a one (1) year labor warranty in addition to the flooring manufacturer’s warranty.

What is Laminate?

A. To best describe it, Laminate wood flooring construction consists of a water proof melamine backer board with a high density fiberboard core. Then the high resolution photograph of a real wood species is adhered to the core board. The finish layer is the aluminum oxide, which give the laminate flooring its durability and protection from stains and the sun.

What are AC Ratings?

A. The AC rating is the rating system applied to all laminate wood flooring. The rating system ranges from 1 to 5. An AC 1 rated laminate flooring is the lowest quality and an AC 5 is the highest. The Laminate Wood Floor & More Store carries nothing less than AC 3 laminate flooring.

How do I eliminate the hollow sound of my laminate flooring?

A. Because laminate wood flooring is a floating floor (not permanently attached to the sub-floor), the hollowness will never be completely eliminated. However, the best way to decrease the “hollow sound” is to install a dense, upgraded underlayment. This will help to eliminate the air between the laminate flooring and the subfloor.

What is acclimation?

A. Acclimation is the process of bringing the laminate or wood flooring indoors for a minimum of 48 hours. This will drastically reduce the expansion or contraction and also makes for a less difficult installation.

How do I clean laminate flooring?

A. The easiest, and least expensive method for cleaning laminate flooring is to use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Mist a small area at one time and immediately dry with a microfiber mop. A dust mop is recommended a well. This is a harmless disinfectant antibacterial solution that works the best. Please do not use: 'Mop and Glow, 'Murphy’s Oil Soap', 'Endust' or any harsh or abrasive chemical, wax or polish.
